Back in 2005 when I was hired by Bowery Bar & Grill on the avenue I live today called Third Avenue not too far from, or B-bar as it’s commonly known as, I remember failing to remember the answer to such question “What’s in a Manhattan?” But you don’t have to, as long as you know the following:
INGREDIENTS:
Agostura bitters, 4 dashes or 1/2 teaspoon
bourbon, 4 oz
bourbon, 4 oz
cocktail cherries, 6
sweet vermouth, 2 oz
HOW TO MAKE IT:
Stir all ingredients except for cherries with ice in a coup glass for 30 seconds. Pour drink into a martini glass and garnish with 3 cherries each.
