Never-Fail Rice
After Kim Severson, New York Times
Ingredients:
1 cup long grain white rice
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon table salt
2 cups water
Instructions:
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Melt butter in large saucepan or dutch oven. Add rice and cook, stirring, until rice is coated and begins to smell nutty.
- Add salt and two cups water to rice and bring to a boil.
- Cover and bake in oven for 17 minutes.
- Remove from oven and let stand for 10 minutes. Serve.
