Smoked salmon, grilled steak and eggs: perfect weekend brunch.
Located at 384 Third Avenue, between 27th and 28th Streets in Manhattan, Arctica Bar & Grill is a great restaurant for the outgoing crowd who love to enjoy themselves outdoors in the afternoons and evenings, as well as for more discreet types who’d rather eat and drink indoors or in its backyard. Anywhere you sit, you’ll get delicious food, a complete bar menu with excellent drinks, and an adorable and hospitable staff who’ll make you feel at home at all times, with their sweet and friendly smiles.
I walked in with a friend this past Saturday (August 2009), around 3:00 pm , when the temperature was pleasant enough so we’d decided to have brunch outdoors, and Arctica Bar & Grill seemed perfect due to its simple menu and good prices. We were right, it was a very good brunch experience for us.
From the menu, we selected the Artica chopped salad as appetizer, and as main course, smoked salmon with poached eggs and steak and sunny side-up eggs. Besides being really delicious, everything was also very fresh and presentable, as you can see in the pictures.
It was also pretty delightful to see good-looking people eating there, as well as those who just passed by on the sidewalks of Third Avenue. Artica Bar & Grill is a cool place really worth going back for more.

The Arctica chopped salad is an excellent salad choice.
The inside booth is also very comfortable.
If you are a celebrity type and like to hide your face from the outdoors, you may want to get a booth inside. It’s pretty spacious and very comfortable for parties of two or more.
The outside tables are great for couples who want to get a nice breeze while they eat and drink. It’s is a perfect spot to sit down and relax with a hot date on a sunny day.
Closest subway: 6 train to 28th Street. Phone number: 347.901.5829.
